Rats - Formalin Free

Rats are an excellent specimen as they have fully mature reproductive and circulatory systems. In addition, these specimens are available in a 50:50 sex ratio. Pregnant rats are available in double and triple injections only. We suggest using rats as an alternative to fetal pigs due to their sexual maturity and lower cost.
These specimens are prepared using our "Safe-Way" fixative that contains no formaldehyde or formalin. The chemicals utilized are consumed completely during the fixation process and are converted into cross-linked proteins that are not toxic with no smelly fumes.
